We’ve left this update later than originally planned, all the while hoping to see some change from the stem cell therapy. Unfortunately, 4 months on, we’ve not seen anything. As they pointed out in Malaysia, Tim’s memory could have improved but we’ve got no way of measuring that or other hidden areas. As it stands, we won’t be getting more stem cells.
Interestingly, the physiotherapist who works with the stem cell people in Vienna recommended that we pursue Vojta physiotherapy to give Tim the best chance possible. Tim had Vojta here in Nelson from age 1 to 3, but then Vojta was outlawed by the NZ Physiotherapy Board because they refused to do their own research. Its most unfortunate that NZ lags behind Europe in these areas, and refuses to consider their methods because its “not in English”.
Due to the success of oxygenation for Tim last year, we are considering doing it again next year, and perhaps more intensively. We’ll create a new update when we make that decision in 2011 (c:
Thanks again to those who supported us through 2010.
