Tim was born in 2003 with severe quadriplegic cerebral palsy. He turns 7 in June but his ability to move is similar to that of a 3-6 month old baby. He can roll over, take something in his left hand and chew on it, laugh & cry, squeal & giggle. He can’t talk, feed himself (although he’s keen to try), or indicate that he needs the toilet.

The therapists at school work with him most days, trying to strengthen his legs and spine enough so he can sit, or walk in a frame. He may reach that point – nobody knows. They encourage him to use his hands more, and try to teach him to say ‘yes’ and ‘no’ using his eyes.

Tim has a younger brother Misha and a younger sister Darina. They both try to involve him in whatever games they are playing. Tim loves to giggle with them, and he cries when they cry.

Tim loves “children’s” music – he’ll happily listen for hours. He complains very loudly if someone changes the CD to “grown-up” music. His favourite song at the moment is The Court of King Caracticus by Rolf Harris.

Please journey with us as we seek to improve Tim’s quality of life.
